Master of Public Health
This course is designed for health professionals interested in expanding their career into Public Health locally and globally. With a flexible online learning environment this collaborative course is taught by experts in their field and linked to current medical research, industry policy and practice.
Master of Clinical Leadership
This course is for clinicians wishing to move into health care improvement leadership roles. It is focused on improving clinical outcomes through improving health care services both at the micro and macro system level. Participants learn about health systems, clinical leadership and patient safety, legal and ethical issues, increasing their own leadership capacity and implementing workplace based health care improvement initiatives.
Master of Health and Human Services
The course is designed for managers (both clinical and administrative) in service organisations wishing to develop their capacity for leadership. Participants learn about health system and policy issues, working effectively in organisations and personal leadership development. The course is offered jointly by the School of Medicine and the Faculty of Business and offers a wide range of topic areas so that participants can customise their program of study to suit their development needs.
Doctor of Health
The Professional Doctorate of Health is designed for health professionals with a Masters degree who are interested in conducting research relevant to their workplace setting. It is designed to enable participants to pursue higher degree research within the context of their role in the workplace, to receive academic support and recognition of this. The emphasis is on action research and associated organisational change, the contribution to knowledge, and dissemination of research findings through publication. Admission to this degree is competitive and no fees are payable.
Bachelor of Health (Professional Honours)
This course is designed for people working full time in health or human services who want to conduct research to improve practice or systems in their workplace. Ideal for students who wish to focus on research in professional practice this course includes units on action research, evidence-based research methods and a major project, along with the opportunity to study a variety of other units relevant to professional practice.
