Problem:

Medical students and clinicians are time poor and, as such, may find it challenging to find ways to work smarter.

Question:

Can a strategy be developed that assists individuals to find and appropriately use freely-available technologies to improve work processes and thus enhance practice as a health professional?

Target audience at Launceston Clinical School (LCS):

• Medical students (in clinical years 4 & 5);
• Teaching Clinicians from LCS, General Practice, DHHS; and
• LCS staff.

Desired Outcomes:

That our target audience will demonstrate:

• increased efficiency in work practices;
• increased digital literacy - transferable skills in finding freely available technologies, using and applying them to work practices in new and varied situations;
• ability to use technology in a manner that is responsive to various contextual, environmental, geographic and mobility needs;
• ability to apply appropriate criteria to the selection of technologies; and
• reduced technology apprehension.
