Medical students from UTAS and other universities frequently go to Nepal for their elective.
While any student can arrange to undertake their elective in Nepal, students from the Rural Clinical School (RCS) have special arrangements which give them greater access certain elective posts in this country.
Contact Dr Bert Shugg (Bert.Shugg@utas.edu.au) for details.
The Rural Clinical School is in the process of setting up a reciprocal relationship with AMDA hospital in Nepal. The AMDA hospital is focussed on the needs of Bhutanese refugees. This formal relationship should facilitate the exchange of students from Nepal and the RCS.
