Celebrating elective experiences throughout the globe

Students who undertook an elective experience over the 2011/2 delivered a presentation to their 5th-year students colleagues and staff members, either as:

• Oral + Powerpoint presentation 5 min duration + 5 min for questions
• Poster presentation (see attached template)- includes a 1 min talk (summary) standing by the poster
• You Tube – design your own video clip (up to 5 min duration)

The content included:

• Describe where you went
• Why did you go there and what was your role?
• What were the clinical lessons?
• What did you learn about the health system?
• Comment on the impact of culture on health care – either for the population or an individual case

Winners of the best presentations were:

• Oral/Powerpoint presentation: Ben Hunn
