The Australasian CIDI Training and Resource Centre provided training on the World Health Organization CIDI Version 3.0, which is an expanded and updated version of the CIDI 2.1. This workshop provides training in the use of the World Mental Health Composite International Diagnostic Interview (WHM-CIDI). The workshop be conducted over three days and will cover a number of topics including data collection, editing, coding and data cleaning and will also provide hands on experience in the administration of the WMH-CIDI.
The program will also include a set of home-study interactive CDs. Participants will be expected to complete approximately 30 hours of the home study prior to the training. Please note that these CDs are not compatible with the Macintosh Apple computer systems.
Training will be conducted in the Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) or the Paper and Pencil (PAPI) modes or both when required. Both modes are modularised so that the entire questionnaire or a specific subset of the WMH-CIDI can be administered. Upon successful completion of the CAPI training participants will receive a copy of the Blaise CAPI program. Similarly, the successful completion of the PAPI training will include word files including the most recent version of the instrument and a copy of the Blaise Direct Data Entry Program. Participants will also receive the SAS diagnostic scoring algorithms (training costs do not cover the costs of SAS software).
*Please note that a Blaise license is required for each computer on which the CIDI software is installed. This cost is not covered in the training. Blaise licensing information can be found at Statistics Netherlands.
