Our work is aimed at building information and understanding that improves health services, particularly within Tasmania and Australia.
The direction of the Centre for Health Services Research has four primary facets:
Membership of the Centre will focus on clinicians and academics who are actively engaged in health service delivery, administration and/or research.
At its inception, the Centre will be managed by a steering group comprising:
There is considerable opportunity for the Centre for Health Services Research to interact with other School and Faculty initiatives, such as the Short Course Program, the Wicking Dementia Research and Education Centre, the NHMRC Centre for Clinical Research Excellence and the Health Postgraduate Program. Health service industry partners will also be approached to develop collaborative initiatives.
