Situated within easy walking distance from Hobart's iconic Salamanca Place and beautiful waterfront, the Conservatorium provides easy access to some of the finest musical experiences Australia has to offer.
Our internationally recognised staff, outstanding ensembles, including the Southern Gospel Choir, The Discovery Orchestra and the Tasmanian Youth Orchestra, together with our unique partnership with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, make for an exceptional learning and teaching environment.
In addition to our classical and contemporary streams, our innovative course offerings include specialisations as diverse as singer-songwriter, music technology in composing and arranging for film, composition across all genres and styles, and musicology.
Mindful of the positive impact which music can have on all our lives, the Conservatorium's programs enable students of all ages to participate in sequential life-long learning and enjoyment of music.
