New to 2007: Rock. Enrol
Students interested in focussing on Rock Studies should apply for the following degree:
F2QR Associate Degree in Music Studies
The application procedure is as follows:
1. Complete the online application form, making sure you indicate F2QR as your preferred course (the R indicates your desire for Rock Studies).
2. There is no need to audition: once the application is processed you will be sent your enrolment confirmation, which will list the units this pathway suggests for study during 2007. Sign this form and return it to the University and you're set.

should note that an audition is required as part of the application
for admission procedure.

The Conservatorium also offers two other courses for undergraduate study. These courses allow students to choose from a variety of units and build experience and skill in areas of individual interest.

The following steps should be taken:
1. Submit an Application for Admission to the University
of Tasmania
University
of Tasmania Applications may be obtained from the University's
website for future
students. There are three ways applicants may apply: online
submission, using the Univeristy's online facility, printing
off an application and then posting it in, or by requesting
a form be sent to you by the Course Advisory staff.
Be sure to indicate, in order of preference, all the courses
for which you would like to be considered. Offline applications

2. Complete the Conservatorium's Application form
To progress a candidate's audition scheduling the Conservatorium
of Music requires all applicants to complete an application
form. Applications may be downloaded
or requested by mail.

The Audition Process
The audition procedure consists of two parts: a diagnostic
music aptitude test followed by an audition/interview*. The
Diagnostic is scheduled on specific dates during the academic
year. The audition date is usually arranged after candidates
have sat the diagnostic test. At the audition applicants may
also be asked to sight-read and perform sight-singing exercises.
* Applicants for the Bachelor of Time-Based
Multimedia are not required to sit the written test.
3. Prepare for the written test and audition/interview
The specific audition requirements for each degree can be
viewed by clicking on the links below. These sheets also include
sample questions of the type of material covered in the diagnostic
tests and sight singing tests.
