Griffith Trio
Since its formation in 1998 as Ensemble-in-Residence at Queensland Conservatorium, the Griffith Trio has established itself as one of Australia's leading chamber ensembles. Comprising three experienced musicians from the Conservatorium staff, the trio has performed widely around Australia, Asia and the Pacific. Through its annual series of concerts at the Conservatorium, the ensemble has covered an extensive repertoire including all the trios of Beethoven, Schubert, Schumann, Mendelssohn, Brahms, Dvorak as well as a wide range of 20th works including Australian compositions by Gerard Brophy, Andrew Schultz, Vincent Plush, Ross Edwards and Louise Denson. The trio has released six CD recordings. These and its live performances are regularly heard on local and national radio.
