The Trûb-Brown Duo
After their stays in Switzerland and Australia the duo took up residence in Luxemburg in 2006. Here Niall is a leading cellist in the Luxemburg Philharmonic besides pursuing an active career in chamber music, while lsabelle is increasingly engaged in teaching, in chamber performance and in music journalism.
In the course of his work, Niall has played with numerous chamber music ensembles and orchestras, including - in addition to the Luxemburg Philharmonic - the Camerata Bern, the Australian String Quartet and the
Lausanne Chamber Orchestra. In the world at large his dedication to chamber music has entailed his appearance along with musicians of the stature of Yehudi Menuhin, Janos Starker, Alberto Lysy, Bruno Giuranna, Stephen Kovacevich and Michel Dalberto. He is at present Artistic Director of the Swiss chamber music festival Automne Musicol d'Ollon, in addition to his teaching duties at Switzerland's Menuhin Music Academy and at Luxemburg's Conservatoire de Musioue du Nord.
Isabelle has collaborated regularly with renowned artists in the course of international festivals and acted as accomoanist at numerous master classes given by, among others, Pierre Fournier, Janos StarkeL Marçal Cervera, Bruno Giuranna, Shmuel Ashkenasi and Joseph Silverstein. During her many years spent in Switzerland and in Australia, her work was greatly appreciated both as piano teacher and as tutor in chamber music. Since 2009 she has served on the staff of the Conservatoire de Musique de la Ville de Luxembourg.
