Southern Gospel Choir and The All American Boys Chorus
The SGC is well known now to Australian and international audiences, particularly through the southern parts of the United States. Their full-on stage shows, featuring their amazing Very Righteous Band, wowed an audience of over 4000 at MONA last November, proving once and for all that this choir is capable of almost anything. What is less well known is their amazing acoustic sound, which spell bound an audience in St David's Cathedral in 2012 for over 90 minutes. With wonderful spirituals and old gospel tunes, and fronted by the amazing Maria Lurighi, the SGC were able to dig deep into the African American tradition and genuinely move their audience in the most magical of ways.
They will be joined in this new concert by one of America's most outstanding boys choirs. Having won award after award, the a Capella sound of The All American Boys Chorus will beautifully compliment the SGC, and produce a concert experience not to be missed. The All American Boys Chorus represent the absolute pinnacle of American choral singing, drawing their members by audition from all over the US. The combination with the Southern Gospel Choir will be a sound and sight to remember.
