Students may download a copy of any
Conservatorium unit that is on offer
during semester 1 of 2005.
Unit Outlines are arranged in various

Forms
Students are required to complete
several forms each year. Conservatorium
forms should be downloaded, then the
information typed into the form and
then printed, signed and submitted.
Students will need their email username
and password to access the forms webpage.
NB: Each form tells students where
to submit the form: it is important
that you submit to the right office,
as an incorrect submission may result
in your form being lost or inconveniently
misplaced.

On Orientation all students are issude

all Conservatorium Students. This

| Concerts |

Concerts
The Conservatorium is the largest
concert presenter in Tasmania, staging
over 100 public concerts annually.
The 2005 Concerts Brochure is displayed
on Level One.
Admission to ALL Conservatorium concerts,
subject to seat availability, is FREE
for all Conservatorium students, including
cross faculty students. All students
are encouraged to attend concerts
regularly.

for the purposes of scholarly research.
It is easy to get confused about what
is a legitimate website. If you are
unsure consult your lecturer.

& music educators of the Conservatorium
of Music and the wider community of
musicians.
The Library has a view over St. David's
Park, and is situated on the 5th floor
of the Conservatorium building in
Sandy Bay Road, Hobart.

UTAS Library E-Journals
The alphabetical list of all the
electronic journals to which the University
of Tasmania Library subscribes.
This list includes hundreds of journals
in dozens of different subject areas.
Each title in the list links to the
e-journal home page. If you don't
want to browse through all the titles,
trying searching under 'M' for Musciology
or 'J' for Journal of or 'I' for International
Journal of. Once you have located
a useful journal, write down the title
or the website address. If using your
own computer, bookmark the site.

The International Musicological
Society (IMS) was founded in 1927
in Basle, where it has its headquarters
ever since. It is a member of the
Conseil International de la Philosophie
et des Sciences Humaines (CIPSH),
a branch organization of the UNESCO.
Its purpose is the advancement of
musicological research on the basis
of international co-operation.

The Australian Music Centre is
the leading provider of information,
publications and scores relating to

APRA
APRA is a non-profit association
that collects and distributes Australian
and New Zealand copyright royalties
for music creators and publishers

Tasmanian
Symphony Orchestra
The TSO also pays regularly at a
wide variety of community events around
the State and TSO members form an
integral part of the Tasmanian arts
community, participating in teaching,
performance and new music activities
in addition to their orchestral responsibilities.

Australian Music Examinations Board
The AMEB exists to provide a
graded system of examinations in music,
speech and drama, offered nationally
and internationally, by providing
quality syllabuses, educative services
to our teachers, examiners and candidates,
and quality publications to the highest
editorial standard.
The AMEB State Office will be pleased
to answer any queries you may have
regarding the examinations and can
provide you with copies of entry forms,
information bulletins, past examination
papers and so on. You can contact
your State Office or International
