On Sunday January 13, the Conservatorium of Music will present a concert to celebrate the life of Edward Talbot.
On Sunday 13 January 2013, the Conservatorium of Music, UTAS, will be hosting a memorial concert to honour and celebrate the work of Edward Talbot, former Lecturer in Classical Voice, and Director of the Conservatorium Chorale for over 20 years. Edward passed away in August 2012.

Edward’s legacy will be felt, with appearances by former students including Ben Oxley, previously tenor for English National Opera. He will be joined by Michael Lampard and Jane Edwards. Also performing is pianist Jennifer Marten-Smith, until recently with Opera Australia, as well as accompanists Kent Furmage, June Tyzack and Andrew Bainbridge. Sydney Conservatorium Head of Brass, Andrew Evans will return to his home state to play trumpet.
The compere for this event will be Christopher Thomas, and former colleagues of Edward's will also offer reminiscences.
The concert will take place at the Stanley Burbury Theatre, UTAS, on Sunday 13 January at 3pm, and entry is by donation.
