The Board is a decision-making group ultimately responsible to the Project Executive and, through that person, to SMT for the project. It is the sponsoring group for, and relies on, the Implementation Team to provide information and to put into effect the strategic direction for the development of the new LMS.
The Board will also facilitate discussions between the Teaching Services Management Group (TSMG), the IPMC and University Learning and Teaching Committee (ULTC), which will in turn advise the Academic Senate, and the University Council of the project's progress.
The membership of the Board should be wide enough to have knowledge of the range of activities to be undertaken; it is not directly representative. There must be a balance of people able to facilitate activities through their management role and others who can contribute relevant knowledge and expertise.
