MyLO - My Learning Online

Staff Support & Documentation

What is MyLO?

MyLO (a shortened form of My Learning Online) is the online learning environment at the University of Tasmania. It uses Desire2Learn's (D2L) Brightspace Learning Environment.

MyLO is used by lecturers as the online environment of their unit. Within this environment, they may choose to present interactive content, to receive, mark and return student assignments, to engage students in discussions to enhance critical thinking skills, as well as for many other purposes.

If you are new to using MyLO, there are a number of tools and resources available to assist you in your teaching. Detailed information and support resources for the use of MyLO by teaching staff can be found within MyLO itself.

Information on unit design and the processes for creating your unit can be found on the Learning and Teaching website's Unit Design section.

If you would like to talk in some depth about how you can implement good practice in the use of online learning environments for your unit, please contact Professional Learning at  PLaNT.Team@utas.edu.au.
