The Creative Exchange Institute (CxI) is a University-wide inter and transdisciplinary research platform with a dynamic mix of research groups and laboratories powered by experimental approaches in the creative arts and design.

Professor Kit Wise will present a Research Excellence Keynote Lecture on the CxI for Research Week 2017.

CxI seeks out new modes for responding to social, cultural, natural, technological, built and virtual environments in a constantly changing world. Through creative exchanges between science, health and the creative arts, social entrepreneurship, cultural development and community participation, CxI aims to lead creative research and creative community engagements through local and global partnerships.

CxI is an affiliation of researchers who create breakthrough solutions to problems that require creative collaboration across disciplines. The team includes researchers, creative practitioners and students from philosophy, history, creative writing, psychology, neuroscience, biology, marine and Antarctic research, health, computer and information science, human interaction technology, new media arts, theatre, music, architecture and design.
