Karen has been working as a midwife since 1985 and was seconded to the University of Tasmania to coordinate the Graduate Diploma of Midwifery in 2006. Karen enjoys all aspects of midwifery care and education. She has enjoyed many years working alongside women in birthing suites and more recently visiting families at home both before and after birth. During her masters studies Karen’s research focused on supporting vulnerable families during pregnancy and early parenting.
