Liz is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Nursing and Midwifery and Director of the UTAS eHealth Virtual Research Centre. She has qualifications in nursing, midwifery, computing and Information systems and has focussed her research on ehealth systems to support chronic conditions and ageing. She has worked in the area of health informatics for over 12 years, including 9 years in the School of Computing and Information Systems where she was deputy director of the eHealth Services Research Group. From 2010 to 2012 Liz was a post-doctoral Research Fellow in the European Union FP7 funded Bridging Research in Ageing and ICT Development (BRAID) project. She is currently involved in research projects in relation to exergaming in adolescents with diabetes, evaluating the implementation of electronic advance care plans and the use of ICT to support self-management in people with cystic fibrosis.
