The Nursing suite of postgraduate courses, including Bachelor of Nursing Professional Honours, Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma and Masters, offers registered nurses the opportunity to gain enhanced clinical knowledge and skills, in a range of specialist areas. Health professionals are also offered the opportunity to study in two unique Graduate Certificate courses, Flexible Learning and Simulation for Health Professionals or Addiction Studies for Health Professionals.
We aim to create an educational environment which values critical reflective thinking, life long learning and professional development, as well as providing an understanding of the importance of nursing leadership in advanced practice settings.
The graduate programs in Counselling and Rehabilitation Counselling are designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills and competencies required for professional practice as counsellors or rehabilitation counsellors. The programs focus on the acquisition of counselling skills, both in general and specific to particular work areas. Study is available at Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma or Masters level on a full fee paying basis.
All postgraduate nursing courses are available on a part-time basis only, Counselling and Rehabilitation Counselling may be undertaken full or part time, and are offered nationally. Most units are delivered fully online, although some include regional study days. Students are encouraged to participate in a free online orientation unit, prior to the commencement of their studies. This unit is normally available 2 weeks prior to the commencement of the semester.
