The Professional Experience Placement (PEP) program allows students the opportunity to put into practice newly acquired skills, behaviours and knowledge. The aim of PEP is to immerse students in the professional culture of nursing and to gain a better understanding of the diverse roles of the registered nurse within the health care system in Australia.
If you have any enquires about the PEP program within the School of Nursing and Midwifery, please contact Annette Marlow, Director of Professional Experience.
Students are strongly advised to download and read the PEP Information Booklet in detail. This booklet provides information relating to the professional experience placement program for staff of the SNM, undergraduate students of nursing, and health care agency staff. It contains checklists and links to all the forms and website information you will need.
All students enrolling in the Bachelor of Nursing program are now required to register with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). It is important that you read the Student Regulatory Compliance section on this page and understand the compliance procedure.
