The School of Nursing & Midwifery and the University of Tasmania offers the following Prizes & Scholarships. All of the following scholarships, bursaries and prizes are applicable for SNM students. However, please see the individual scholarship, bursary or prize for its terms and conditions. Please note that all scholarships, bursaries and prizes are subject to change.
The Acute Care 3rd Year Nursing Prize
This prize of $100 is awarded to a third year nursing student based in Launceston who in achieves the highest mark in CNA315: Acute Care Nursing.
The Australian Nursing Federation (Tasmania Branch) 1st Year Prize
The Australian Nursing Federation (Tasmania Branch) 1st Year Prize will be offered on an annual basis for an indefinite period. Students enrolled in the first year of the Bachelor of Nursing in the year in which the award is offered will be eligible for the prize. The Australian Nursing Federation (Tasmania Branch) will organise presentation of the prize.
Rustica Bursary
Rustica, the UTAS Rural Health Club, offers bursaries for students who are undergoing a rural placement within Australia or who are participating in a Conference of National Significance (CoNS). The aim of this funding is to provide students with an insight into some of the issues involved with rural and indigenous health and to encourage them to work in these areas once they have completed their degree.

Next Generation Grants
In partnership, the AustThe Australian Nursing Federation (Tasmania Branch) and MyState Finance will provide 2 Next Generation grants to up-and-coming Tasmanian nurses. Visit ANF TAS website for information.
