It’s now Open Day Every Day at the Cradle Coast campus

Experience a taste of University life through the UTAS Cradle Coast campus’ Open Day Every Day program.

Check out a science laboratory in action or take your place in a lecture - the flexibly delivered program gives you a snapshot of University life.

Open Day Every Day is designed to provide an introduction to the University, catering to primary, high schools and colleges on the North-West and West coasts of Tasmania.
 
The program delivers specifically designed packages tailored to a certain age group’s needs, co-ordinating a range of on-campus activities with all of the advice and support material you need.

On-campus activities can include:

• Campus tour – visitors will have the chance to inspect the Mooreville Road campus’ facilities and discover first-hand how a University operates.
• Mini lecture – experience what life is like in a University ‘classroom’.
• Web-based activities – explore career options offered by a tertiary education.
• Hands-on science experience – go behind-the-scenes on a science experiment.

Alternatively, the program can also visit your school, college, TAFE or business. Here, Open Day Every Day comes to you, working collaboratively to create an individual and informative experience.

In-school lectures
As part of the program, UTAS Cradle Coast campus lecturers or researchers can visit senior secondary schools to give mini lectures on particular subject areas. This activity allows students to learn more about their areas of interest, while putting them in touch with industry researchers and lecturers.
