  • Edge Radio is a youth focused community radio station located in Hobart on the Sandy Bay campus. There are opportunities for students to volunteer and learn broadcasting skills. Listen online, and find out more.
  • The Academy Gallery Volunteer Club allows student volunteers to learn about professional installation, dismantling, conservation, lighting and exhibition design through the Academy Gallery at the Inveresk campus. The Volunteer Club is a friendly work environment where members enjoy the social side of life as much as they do the learning curve. See more information at Visual and Performing Arts.

  • The Community Friends and Networks Program connects 'new to town' students to volunteers from the local community.
  • Faculties and Schools may offer mentoring programs to help new students find their feet at university. Take advantage of mentoring programs as you start your university experience, and think about becoming a mentor in the future to pass along the tips and tricks you've learnt.
  • The Student Ambassador Program will help you improve your public relations, communication and leadership skills. Student Ambassadors assist with activities including campus tours, University Open Days and visits to colleges and high schools. The Student Ambassador Program will provide training to equip you with excellent communication and organisational skills. See the Ambassadors website to find out how to get involved.
