Your University ID card verifies your identity for enrolment, examination and security purposes, and is also used as your Library card. It is important that you get your ID card as soon as you can and that you carry it with you whenever you are on University grounds.
To get an ID card on-campus, go to the Student Centre and bring photo identification (e.g., driver’s licence) plus your student identification number. Each calendar year you get reissued with a new card by bringing in your old card.
Students studying off-campus can get an ID card by sending a passport sized photo of yourself, certified on the back that it is a true copy, along with your student identification number to the Student Centre, Private Bag 1345 LAUCESTON TAS 7250. Alternatively, you can email (using your UTAS email account) a scanned copy of your passport sized photo with a scanned copy of another form of photo identification to Student Centre. Once you have a card, you can re-use that image in following years, but you will need to contact the Student Centre each year to request a new card.
For more information refer to student identity card.
