You will be able to find your textbook requirements in your unit outline. Sometimes, rather than a published book, lecturers put together a Unit Reader bringing together information from many sources. Textbooks and readers provide key information that will enable you to understand the subject area.
If you have any questions about what books are required or just recommended, speak to your Unit Coordinator.
You can buy copies of your textbooks from The Co-op Bookshop (stores at Sandy Bay and Newnham campuses). Unit Readers are sold at UniPrint offices at Hobart, Launceston and Cradle Coast. Students may re-sell textbooks after they have used them, but make sure the edition you are buying is the one you need to have. Students who are studying by distance will be informed by their Faculty how they can access required readings and other materials for each unit.
The Library also holds copies of textbooks and readings in hard copy and often electronically. However, it can be difficult to access these resources during semester when they are in high demand.
