The UTAS Statement of Values has been endorsed by the University Council and the process will now begin to integrate it into the University. The University Council has also endorsed the University becoming a signatory to the Universitatum Magna Charta – an internationally recognised statement of principles for all universities.

The development of the Statement of Values was a key recommendation of the Your Voice process. This process of developing the Statement of Values has had the strong backing of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Peter Rathjen, who sees it as laying a foundation for his consultations with respect to the new strategic plan. The Statement of Values will guide our new strategic plan, the way we work and the things we work on.
