| Research and research
training are integral to the identity and mission of
the University of Tasmania.
As well as internationally renowned research
groups within the individual Faculties
and Schools, currently the University has five University
Institutes/Centres which are internationally competitive
leaders.
Also, the University is part of six national
Cooperative
Research Centres, two of which are based at UTas.
In addition there are Faculty-based
Centres that have been approved by the Research
College Board and these have a significant national
reputations.
The research success of the University provides a significant
base from which to develop enhanced global strategic research
alliances over the period 2005-2007. |
