Applications are now sought from high-achieving students who are eligible to become leaders in the University's PASS (Peer Assisted Study Session) Program
The PASS Program is an academic assistance program which targets traditionally challenging academic subjects or courses. Led by senior students called PASS Leaders, the PASS program provides regularly scheduled, out-of-class, peer-facilitated study sessions, to all students studying in that unit.
To become a PASS leader applicants must have received a distinction or above within a PASS supported unit as well as an overall credit average or above.
PASS Leaders receive training and are supported in their role to deliver one to two one-hour sessions each week.
Information sessions, running for approximately half an hour, will be held in September for all students interested in becoming a PASS Leader. These sessions will provide further information about the PASS Program and the application process. We strongly recommend that anyone interested in becoming a PASS leader attends one of these sessions.
Information sessions will be held at the following times:
Hobart: Monday 23rd September, (2 sessions) 11am - Stanley Burbury Theatre (LT1), Sandy Bay and 2pm - UniCentre Flex103, Sandy Bay
Launceston: Tuesday 24th September, (2 sessions) 12pm and 2pm, Flexible Learning Space, Sir Raymond Ferrall Centre, Newnham
Cradle Coast: Please contact Cathy Hartigan (6430 4909) if you would like to discuss the role.
