Michelle Paine
BPharm, MClinPharm
Michelle has worked in Hospital Pharmacy in NSW and TAS since first graduating in 1989. Her specialisation in children’s medicine has made her a highly respected professional in her industry.
“I chose to do the Master of Clinical Pharmacy through UTAS as it was completely online, allowing me the flexibility to fit study around a young family and work commitments. And, it proved to be a perfect option with the course material covering a wide range of topics including several relevant to the area of my specialisation, paediatric pharmacy.
After over twenty years working in hospital pharmacy, and over ten years specialising in children’s medicine, I felt behind in many of the advances that had occurred in the world of adult health and was looking for a structured course that would bring me back up to speed with the profession.
It was important for me to have an interactive experience even though it was online. Feedback was essential with regards to interpretation of the literature and to keep me on track to achieve my learning goals. The School of Pharmacy tutors have been very approachable and have considerable experience in the area of clinical pharmacy that has enabled me to receive useful feedback on all of my assignments.
I am very pleased to be undertaking this degree. Through undertaking the Master of Clinical Pharmacy I have gained the confidence I was looking for to take on a more active role in the broader elements of my profession.”
