Rahul Patel joined as a lecturer of Pharmacological Sciences at the School of Pharmacy, University of Tasmania in December 2009.
Rahul Patel obtained both his MPharmSc and PhD degrees from the University of Tasmania. After PhD, he obtained pharmacist registration from Queensland. He is a guest editor of the Current Drug Metabolism journal and in the editorial panel of the Journal of Pediatric Biochemistry and the International Journal of Applied Biology and Pharmaceutical Technology. He is a reviewer of a number of international journals including the Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Journal of Chromatography A and Natures Protocols. The analytical technique developed by Rahul and his colleagues was recognised by the Food and Drug Administration and now the technique is included in the United State Pharmacopeia.
