Career Summary
Ala graduated with a Bachelor of Pharmacy in 2003 from the Faculty of Pharmacy at Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) in Jordan. He completed his registration and commenced work as a full-time Pharmacist in community pharmacy.
Following from this, Ala completed his Master of Pharmaceutical Sciences with a thesis titled “An Investigation of Selected Heavy Metals in Different Drugs and Herbal Pharmaceutical Dosage Forms from Jordan Market”, and became Teaching and Research Assistant in the Faculty of Pharmacy at JUST and partner in a private community pharmacy.
Ala's interest for research has motivated him to become a PhD Candidate in 2012, supervised by Dr. Rosanne Guijt, Assoc/Prof. Michael Breadmore and Assoc/Prof Nuri Güven. His interests lie in the area of Pharmaceutical Science and he hopes that completing a PhD will lead to more opportunities within this area.
Thesis title: "Sequential injection capillary electrophoresis (SI-CE) for on-line monitoring of organic acids in bioprocesses."
