Pharmacy education in Tasmania has a long and valued tradition spanning more than 100 years.
Our School at the University of Tasmania is highly regarded throughout the State, nationally and overseas for the outstanding quality of the graduates of its Bachelor of Pharmacy program.
To continue to satisy the demand for pharmacists to meet the healthcare needs of the state and nation, the School is entering a new phase of growth. An exiting development is the appointment of the Inaugural Chair in Pharmacy at the University of Tasmania.
This appointment will provide leadership to ensure the School maintains its position at the forefront of pharmacy education in Australia, and will make a further significant contribution to the research activity within the School. This will in turn provide major benefits for the profession within Tasmania as well as nationally.
The Tasmanian School of Pharmacy, through the UTAS Foundation, aims to raise fundas over three years for the UTAS Inaugural Chair in Pharmacy Fund. We urge all members of the profession and our alumni to held 'kick-start; the establishment of the Chair in Pharmacy by donating to the UTAS Inaugural Chair in Pharmacy Fund.
