Combined Honours

Philosophy is an interdisciplinary subject and we are open to various combined honours options with other disciplines in the Faculty of Arts. Inter-faculty honours programs are also possible. Such programs need to be negotiated with the Head of School of the relevant disciplines and usually involves completing half the course-work requirements of each discipline's honours program and completing a thesis on a topic that's on common ground between the two disciplines. The thesis is usually supervised jointly by a staff member from each discipline.
