VENUE: the University of Tasmania's School of Art located on Hobart's waterfront.

SIZE: some 160 people attended this conference.

AUDIENCE: this was an interdisciplinary conference aimed at reaching a diverse audience beyond the narrowly academic or institutional. It is a joint conference of the Place Research Network; the Mountain Festival; the National Museum of Australia; and the Community, Place & Change theme area of the University of Tasmania.
