I am the coordinator for the 2nd year undergraduate course offerings in the School of Plant Science, where I run most of the practical course and the Plant Development part of Botany II. I am also the course coordinator for the summer field course, KPA375 Field Botany, and I participate in the practical component of KPA376 Genetics III and KPA379 Plant Ecology. I also teach genetics and evolution in first year (KPA150/KZA150).
Rapid modes of speciation, such as heterochrony, evolutionary changes in the timing of developmental events such as vegetative and reproductive phase change, and polyploidy, dramatic changes in chromosome number.
I am also interested in the conservation of endangered species, particularly Tasmanian eucalypts.
