The National Centre for Future Forest Industries seeks high quality applicants to apply for scholarships for the exciting projects below:

1. The genetics of myrtle rust tolerance in eucalypts
2. Planting restoration forests: testing new sowing and planting techniques
3. Genetic by environmental effects on functional tree traits that determine success in current and future climates
4. Modelling genomic adaptation to aridity in Corymbia variegata
5. Forest transport logistics optimisation
6. Maximisation of value though optimised short-term harvest operational planning
7. Optimising plant production systems for improved hybrid Corymbia taxa
8. The impacts on wood products recovery from late (sub-optimal) silvicultural treatment of plantation Eucalyptus nitens and E. globulus
9. The structural performance of mass-timber commodity-produced building components assembled from low-grade wood
10. Structural characteristics of LVL from plantation E. nitens & E. globulus including the performance of fasteners
11. The effects of mass-timber building components on the thermal performance of Australia’s domestic buildings.
