Ms Bauld has worked as a lecturer for UTAS since 2006. She is currently the Bachelor of Health Course Coordinator for the School of Health Sciences.
Ms Bauld has been employed in the field of nursing education for over 10 years working as a Clinical Facilitator (THON, ICU/CCU), Clinical Nurse Educator (THON, Department of Medicine) and more recently as a Lecturer for School Health Science. Prior to moving to learning and teaching at the University of Tasmania, she worked as a clinical nurse in the critical care environment in Australia for around twenty years.Ms Bauld has recently completed her Masters of Education which incorporated a Graduate Certificate of Learning and Teaching for Health Professionals. Previously she completed a Masters of Clinical Nursing whilst working as a clinician, specialising in Critical Care/Intensive Care Nursing (Graduate Diploma).
Ms Bauld currently coordinates the Bachelor of Health course for the School of Health Sciences which is offered at four campuses (Launceston, Hobart, Rozelle (Sydney) and Cradle Coast). She is also the unit coordinator for Foundations of Health Care (CNA119). Ms Bauld is the Bachelor of Nursing academic support delegate for Launceston students, academic liaison for Professional Experience Placement for Bachelor of Nursing students and she also undertakes academic liaison associated with Teaching Aged Care facilities in the north of the state.
Previously, Ms Bauld worked as Bachelor of Nursing Coordinator Launceston and Acting Director of Professional Experience (SNM). She has taught into both post graduate and undergraduate programs offered by Nursing & Midwifery. Her teaching portfolio includes the following units: High Dependency Nursing (CNA626), Contemporary Nursing (CNA226), Integrated Nursing Practice (CNA227), Foundations of Nursing Practice (CNA202),Supportive Care (CNA215) and Health and Physical Assessment (CNA127).
Ms Bauld was a project team member in: Examining simulation based education in Bachelor of Nursing practice-based units, and has also participated in the Teaching Aged Care Facility project as an Academic Liaison.
