Dr Jones is Senior Teaching Fellow of Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Education and visiting Professor at the University of Wales and the University of Tampa. He is recognised as an expert in entrepreneurship education, working closely with various sections of the United Nations, the World Entrepreneurship Forum, the Scottish Entrepreneurship Educators Programme, the International Entrepreneurship Educators Programme and is a founding member of the Go Deep Entrepreneurship Educators Mastermind group.

Biography

Before joining UTAS, Colin founded and operated a range of businesses in the financial services sector, the home services sector, machinery importation and the development of educational products.

Research Themes

Colin's primary area of research is enterprise education. He publishes with colleagues globally. Current areas of focus include heutagogical learning, the process of academagogy and the provision of enterprise education across all areas of community. Colin's other area of research is focused on the development of autecology in the field of organization studies. Colin is the first researcher to apply an autecological approach to the study of firms.
