UTAS Launceston Staff Social Hours
There is always an acronym at UTAS!
Social Opportunities for Community Interaction, Activities and Linking (SOCIAL) Hour Of Unwinding and Recreation (HOUR)
At Social Hours, Launceston staff are invited to a UTAS Launceston venue for refreshments, nibbles and networking with colleagues from all corners of the University.
These evenings are very laid back … there is limited structure, no dress code and the drinks are inexpensive and, sometimes, free!
The Hotel Grand Chancellor, very generously, provides some nibbles and most guests drift off home about 6.30 pm.
Guests are rewarded for wearing name tags by having their name in the draw to win a quality Tamar Valley wine or a dining voucher at Launceston Hotel Grand Chancellor.
The prizes for May Social Hour :
- Quality Tamar Valley Wine
- 1 x copy of 'Beneath the Tamar - More than silt' written by David Maynard and Troy Gaston
- Dining voucher from Hotel Grand Chancellor Launceston (Full buffet breakfast for 2 people)
End-of-year prize draw: A Hotel Grand Chancellor accommodation voucher for 2 people.
