The Public Relations and University Extension Unit (PR&UE) is located within the Vice-Chancellor's Division. The Unit has defined its mission as 'promoting the University and supporting the development of broad community links'. The Unit achieves this through its responsibilities for:
University of Tasmania Alumni
Branding, visual standards and corporate marketing
UTAS Image Library is under construction, a test site can be viewed here
Cultural affairs - including concerts provided by the Tasmanian Conservatorium of Music, exhibitions hosted by the Plimsoll Gallery and the University Gallery at Launceston, Centr Stage threatre productions, the University Forum series, and the annual James McAuley Memorial Lecture.
Event Management and University Protocols - PR&UE is available to give advice to members of the University involved in arranging events at University, faculty, school, divisional or section level and assist with event management and issues of protocol.
Graduation - the Graduation Office conducts graduation ceremonies in August and December in Hobart and Launceston.
The University Foundation - the University Foundation raises money to endow scholarships while developing links between the University and industry.
University collections - including the fine teaching and research collection held in the John Elliott Classics Museum and the University's Fine Art collection (paintings, works on paper, sculpture and decorative art).
