Participants are required to practice performing bimanual coordination patterns that involve different relationships between movement of levers controlled by the two hands. To assist the participant in learning a particular pattern, they will be presented with a visual analogue (a Lissajous Figure) of how the pattern would look if it was performed correctly. The task is to make a cursor move to produce the same visual pattern shown on the computer screen. The cursor is controlled by the two levers, with the left making the cursor move left to right and the right lever making the cursor move up and down, much like an Etch-a-Sketch drawing. 12 trials will take place with two of these having feedback taken away. The study will take up to 40 minutes, and first year participants will gain course credit.
