ALTC Grants
The ALTC Grants Scheme has three programs:
- Leadership for Excellence in Learning and Teaching Program
- Priority Project Program
- Competitive Grants Program
ALTC funds projects in the following priority areas:
- Assessment, standards and reporting (PP)
- Curriculum Renewal (PP)
- Innovation in learning and teaching, including in relation to the role of new technologies (CG)
- Internationalisation (PP, new priority in 2010)
- Leadership capacity building for learning and teaching (LP)
- Learning and teaching spaces (PP)
- Research and development focusing on issues of emerging and continuing importance (CG)
- Strategic approaches to learning and teaching that address the increasing diversity of the student body (CG)
The initials refer to the program which addresses the funding priority: Leadership Program (LP), Priority Projects Program (PP); Competitive Grants Program (CG).
From time to time the ALTC commissions Investigation or Consolidation projects addressing a specific issue of concern.

UTAS Submissions for ALTC Grants
UTAS proposals for ALTC grants as a lead or a partner institution must be submitted to the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Students & Education) for endorsement along with the UTAS Grant Submission Coversheet.
Letters of endorsement are required from all relevant PVC/DVC’s for collaborative project submissions.
Please complete the UTAS Grant submission Coversheet and submit with your final proposal to Awards & Grants Office, Locked Bag 1343, Launceston.
