Jim Weller is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Plant Science.

He completed a PhD at UTAS in 1997 and returned to his current position in 2002 after working in Japan and the Netherlands.

His research interests centre on understanding how plants sense and respond to environmental signals including light, daylength and temperature.

He has managed to attract over $3M in ARC funding including seven Discovery grants and, most recently, an ARC Future Fellowship.

He is not entirely sure how all this happened, but will share some of his thoughts on what may have helped.

Morning tea will be provided.

UTAS staff and students are invited to attend.
