The Ian Potter Foundation (IPF) is a major Australian philanthropic foundation that supports and promotes excellence and innovation. Through its grants, the IPF seeks to encourage excellence and support Australia's talent: the visionaries, social entrepreneurs, scientists, academics and researchers, artists and teachers, and those who dedicate themselves to bettering our communities for the benefit of all.

University researchers wishing to apply for an IPF grant must follow specific IPF steps. Please ensure you follow carefully the IPF Instructions for University Researchers to apply for the Single Stage Application round.

Single Stage Application Round

A single application process is in place for following Program Areas

  • Travel
  • Conference
  • Submission Deadlines

    • Application to your Research Hub: 9.00 am Tuesday 10th January 2017
    • Application to the IPF: 5.00 pm Tuesday 24th January 2017 (online and hard copy applications must be received by the IPF by this date).

    All Single Stage Applications must be submitted in conjunction with ORS but not not require University ranking.

    Single Stage Applicants must provide ORS with their login details (email and password) used to set up their account in the IPF's online application system. It is recommended that you choose a password that you are happy to share with your ORS contact. Single stage applications must be submitted to IPF online and in hard copy.

    UTAS General Submission Requirements

    Please submit your EOI or application and supporting documents, along with your Research Funding Clearance Form and Costing Tool, to your Research Hub. Applicants are encouraged to contact their Research Hub prior to the internal closing date so that Hub staff can provide you with additional information and provide pre-award services.
