Project management skills are highly sought after in both academia and industry.

The aim of this session is to provide Higher Degree by Research (HDR) candidates with the essential concepts and tools of project management.  Throughout the session a number of practical activities are used to reinforce the concepts and show how they can be applied to a higher degree research project.

The session is ideally suited to 1st HDR candidates, however, all HDR candidates are welcome.

Learning outcomes:
For HDR candidates to apply project management skills to effectively set-up, monitor and complete their research project on time and as planned.

Kerryn Butler-Henderson is the Course Coordinator of the Master of Health Information Management at the University of Tasmania. She is also a Graduate Research Coordinator and Research Integrity Advisor for the Tasmanian School of Business & Economics. Kerryn has over ten years higher degree supervision experience and is commended for her candidate’s project management capabilities.
