In recent years James has had various roles including: Research assistant with Pfizer Central Research, Sandwich UK and Biochemistry, University of Cambridge. Cloning, expression and purification of isotopically labeled proteins for NMR Postdoctoral researcher, Biochemistry, University of Cambridge with Professor RN Perham. NMR structure determination and analysis of excised domains from the multienzyme complexes of pyruvate dehydrogenase and glutathione reductase.Postdoctoral researcher, Biochemistry, University of Cambridge with Professor RN Perham. NMR structure determination and analysis of excised domains from the multienzyme complexes of pyruvate dehydrogenase and glutathione reductase Postdoctoral researcher, St Vincents Institute of Medical Research with Dr Bostjan Kobe and Professor Bruce Kemp. Computational analysis of peptide substrate binding to protein kinases and NMR investigation of autoregulatory sequence of phenylalanine hydroxylase Postdoctoral research fellow, Department of Medicinal Chemistry, Victorian College of Pharmacy, Monash University. Implementation of methods for triple resonance NMR investigation of large proteins. Structural determination and dynamical characterisation of a bacterial DsbA oxidireductase enzymes. Method development and conduct of small molecule fragment library screening against protein targets, including DsbA enyzmes. A variety of other structural and physical characterisations across projects involved in lipid transport and neurodegenerative disease states.
