The Electronics Workshop supports a vast array of research instrumentation within the CSL and for many other Schools of the University of Tasmania. They also offer a repair and maintenance service for most electronic and electromechanical equipment and provide consultation in design and construction of electronic instruments. Paul Waller, and John Davis have extensive expertise in troubleshooting complex problems as well as designing new equipment to meet specialised requirements. The workshop has a printed circuit board fabrication facility including Computer Aided Design for prototyping work and small production runs.
