Domestic Scholarships

Financial support for living costs enables research students to focus on their research. The University of Tasmania offers a variety of living allowance scholarships and travel scholarships for domestic research students.

Scholarship applications are considered throughout the year, please see our scholarships page for the key dates and Apply Now for details on how to apply.

If unsuccessful, an application for scholarship may result in an offer of candidature only.  Domestic candidates have two weeks to accept or decline an offer of candidature and/or scholarship, and two months to commence their candidature.

If encouraged by their School to apply, current candidates are welcome to submit a scholarship application at a later stage in their candidature. Please contact the Research Hub for your faculty for a current candidate scholarship application form.

Further information on the type of scholarships and entry requirements is provided below.
