The Institute for Regional Development is running a third year unit as part of the Bachelor of Regional Resource Management this semester called: Emerging Issues in Regional Development.
The aim of this unit is to investigate one or more wicked problems in the region, and this year we have a focus on the Tarkine. 

To provide our students with a rich learning experience, we will host a Tarkine-focused Q&A Forum on campus with invited guest speakers from a range of stakeholder perspectives, who will have 5-10 minutes each to share their perspective (oral only) on the Tarkine, and then participate in an open and moderated discussion with the audience.

The speakers which have already been confirmed are:

• Ruth Forrest, Independent member for Murchison, MLC.
• Scott Jordan, the Tarkine Coalition
• Gary Cole, Parks & Wildlife Service, Arthur River Ranger
• Geoff King, King's Run Wildlife Tours
• Other speakers to be confirmed.

Arrival tea and coffee will be served with the commencement of the guest speakers at 9:30am.
The Q&A component will commence at 10:00am-12:00pm and will be followed by lunch from 12:00pm-1:00pm.

The forum will be hosted by Dr Fleur Fallon, unit and degree coordinator.
The forum Q & A will be facilitated by Matthew Campbell-Ellis with assistance from Jen Evans.
Matthew is a PhD student and lecturer whose PhD research is investigating how communities can
create sustainable advantages through collaborative resources management.
Jen is also a PhD student and is investigating the mapping of human and natural values of the Tarkine.
