UTAS Invites Chamber Members and Guests to a networking evening to launch the University's new Strategic Plan - Open to Talent.

The Vice Chancellor, Professor Peter Rathjen will welcome guests and launch the University's new Strategic Plan, Open To Talent, to the northern business community.

Open To Talent reaffirms the University's commitment to campuses located within the North, North-West and South of Tasmania, supporting regional communities through access to world class education and research. The plan supports campus-specific strategies that will inform distinctive research and teaching programs at each of these locations, leveraging local potential and matching local needs.

Professor Rathjen will also launch the latest issue of Research to Reality, a publication that showcases current research outcomes from a range of disciplines from around the State.

Members and guests are encouraged to bring their research and development staff along to this event to discuss utilisation of research expertise to build business competitiveness and the Tasmanian economy.

Guests will learn about options for accessing CSIRO and Enterprise Connect research funds to build the innovation and opportunity in small and medium enterprises.
